 National Prayer Day for Criminal Justice Reform

Sunday, Feb 7, 2010
Join faith communities throughout the United States by spending part or all of your prayer time

during the worship service lifting up prayer needs.

You should pray for:

  1. A fair criminal justice system, based on restorative justice principles, that does not sentence people to unjustly long sentences or target certain racial groups. This will enable the families of the incarcerated to be strengthened and local communities to be restored safely.
  2. Empowerment of faith communities to serve those directly affected by the criminal justice system:
  3. By caring for victims of crime;
  4. Providing necessary programs for ex-offenders seeking to reenter society;
  5. Supporting families affected by crime; and
  6. Advocating for reform of the criminal justice system.

  7. DMC Conference at Virginia State University
