 Prior Riders Only:  $50 non-refundable deposit money order due by

August 21 with balance paid day of trip September 3.

All 12 seats must be reserved through full payment/non-refundable deposit by August 21.  Each trip we have one seat free for prisoner  small child under age 8.  This is a one time allowance and on a first paid in full basis.

Prison Visitation Schedule & Hours

Pocahontas: 

Two (2) or more hours.

Four (4) to full day, prisoner must request "Special visit"

prior to visitation.  Low level 3 facility.

Keen Mountain: 

 Full day from 8:30am to 2pm visit. 

Medium  level 3/4 facility.

Red Onion: 

 SEG Two Hours/ CADRE up to six (6) hours visit.

Supermax  level 6 facility with non-contact visit

Wallens Ridge: 

Up to four (4) hours visit

Due to small size visitation room, you may be asked to

 split visit  (2 hours contact, 2 hours non-contact). 

High level/Supermax level 5 facility with contact visitation

In an effort to reduce recidivism, to empower prisoner rehabilitation and keeping families connected , RIHD host  small trips at reasonable  & affordable cost.  Our trips are all nonprofit events and planning/work is provided by our volunteers.   Non-refundable $25 for day trips/$50 for weekend trips deposits are acceptable with balance paid on prior to leaving.  There is NO refund or credit unless trip is canceled by RIHD. 

From time to time, we receive private donations to assist with the cost of trips that is passed on, reduce rates for our riders.  Any/all refunds stemming from reduce rates will be issued at end of trip only.    Transportation does not include hotel stay.  For hotel rates, see below.  Do not send monies for hotel to RIHD; pay at the hotel only.
