Transportation Service
Mission: In an effort to keep families connected, RIHD provides twice a year special transportation service for children & youth whom parent is housed in the faraway Virginia State Correctional Facilities. Children/Youth must be accompanied by an authorized guardian.
Prison Visitation Schedule/Hours
Pocahontas: Two (2) or more hours.
Full Day Visit, Prisoner MUST request "Special Visit" prior to Trip
Keen Mountain: from 9am to 2pm
Red Onion: SEG Two (2) hours/CADRE Four (4) hours
Wallens Ridge: Two(2) to Four (4) hours
Leave: Friday Night @ 12 Midnight
Return: Saturday 10pm
